The Right to Freedom of Religion

Before 25th of December came , I've been thinking of a way to make people think again of how do we respect other's religion and doctrine in away that allow them to practice their believes and religion without being prevented by others or even the government .

قبل وصول تاريخ 25 ديسمبر ، كنت أفكر في طريقة لجعل الناس يحترمون شعائر وعقائد الآخرين في طريقة تسمح لهم بممارسة شعائرهم ومعتقداتهم الدينية دون أن يمنعهم من ممارستها الحكومة أو الآخرين 


Here in Kuwait , its good that we respect Religious minorities so far and yet we are not attacking as other countries do their ceremonies or banding them , such as Saudi and Bahrain , they have been attacking by police forces these kind of ceremonies all the time , like Shiite sectarian for example , although Bahrain announced many times that its a kingdom of respecting others rights but in last two months we have been noticed that the Shiite sectarian are not allowed to practice their believes in many villages in Bahrain 

هنا في الكويت ، من الجيد أننا نحترم الأقليات الدينية على الأقل إننا لا نهاجم كما تفعل الدول الأخرى للشعائر الدينية وتمنعها كالسعودية والبحرين ، فالشعائر الدينية هناك تهاجم من قبل رجال الشرطة طوال الوقت ، مثل الطائفة الشيعية ، رغم إن البحرين تعلن إحترامها لحقوق الآخرين إلا إن وللشهرين الأخيرين لاحظنا أن الطائفة الشيعية ممنوعة من ممارسة شعائرها ومعتقداتها في العديد من القرى

 well, I'm not saying we have the notion and we are quietly accepting others , no ! but we are still facing difficulties of accepting that there are Religious minorities and numbers are not the right method to respect 

. their religion  

حسنا لا أقول بأن لدينا الوعي ونحن نتقبل الآخرين جيدا لا ، نحن مازلنا نواجه صعوبة في تقبل الأقليات الدينية رغم إن الأرقام ليست مقياسا لإحترام دينهم .

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights in its article 18 : 

• Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.

في الإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان في المادة 18 : 

• لكل شخص الحق في حرية التفكير والضمير والدين، ويشمل هذا الحق حرية تغيير ديانته أو عقيدته، وحرية الإعراب عنهما بالتعليم والممارسة وإقامة الشعائر ومراعاتها سواء أكان ذلك سراً أم مع الجماعة.

We repeat it but we don't actually practicing it , so many times i ask why the Christians are not parliaments or chairmen or taking lead in any field , why we don't have Temples of the other communities ! i don't think that Kuwait is only Christians, Muslims - Shiite  / Sunni ! i bet there are more than that !

Any ways we have gathered at 25/12/2013 and went to Evangelical Church , Holding flowers , chocolates , candles and sweets to the door , waited for the Worshipers to gather and they have been in shock ! Muslims are waiting for them out there to tell them Merry Christmas ! 

people were so happy and they took pictures of my happy friends , and what i have really liked and notices , men from Shiite mosque near by came to manage the traffic with police men next to the church !  

نحن نردد ذلك لكننا لا نمارسه في الواقع ، أسأل تكرارا لماذا ليس لدينا برلماني مسيحي أو مسؤولا في أي مجال ؟ لماذا ليست لدينا معابد للأديان الأخرى ؟ لا أعتقد بأن الكويت مقتصرة على المسيحيين والمسلمين من الطائفة الشيعية والسنية ، أراهن بأن هناك المزيد وأكثر من ذلك .

في كل الأحوال ، تجمعنا في يوم 25 ديسمبر 2013 وتوجهنا للكنيسة الإنجيلية ، حاملين الزهور والشوكولاتة ، الشموع والحلويات عند الباب ، انتظرنا المصلين للتجمع ولقد صدموا بنا .. المسلمون ينتظروننا في الخارج ليتمنون لنا عيد ميلاد مجيد .. 

لقد كانوا سعداء فعلا وإلتقطوا صورا لأصدقائي ، والذي لاحظته وأثار إعجابي إن هناك رجالا تابعين لمسجد شيعي أتوا لتنظيم المرور مع رجال الشرطة بجانب الكنيسة ..
